This lamp is a meeting of craft, material and memory: a hand-carved wooden ring finished in a dark, warm tone surrounds a textured textile insert that the light gently animates. The central panel—worked with layered fibres and hand-shaped reliefs—creates shifting highlights and shadows when the lamp is on, turning the object into a small, intimate tableau. The outer frame’s sober geometry balances the organic movement of the interior, making the lamp both a functional light source and a sculptural object that anchors a room.
Made entirely by hand with locally sourced wood and natural textile fibres, this piece celebrates slow techniques and honest materials. The wood is sanded and treated to reveal grain and knots; the textile center is assembled with traditional weaving and hand-finishing that preserve the irregularities of manual work—those very marks that make each object unique. The lamp is wired for standard fittings and supplied with a discreet power cable; the light temperature is warm to emphasize texture and color.
