Vertical Loom is a commanding floor lamp that blends woodworking and textile craft into a single, tactile object. A tall, hand-finished ash column in deep anthracite frames a narrow, handwoven textile insert: geometric stepped motifs in warm reds and oranges intersect with greens, blues and ochre to create a luminous vertical tapestry. When lit, the internal warm LED backlight animates the weave, revealing depth, color shifts and subtle reliefs in the fibre work.

Made entirely by hand, the piece celebrates local materials and traditional techniques reinterpreted for contemporary interiors. The solid wood case is sanded and stained to emphasize grain and texture; the textile panel is woven with natural fibres, hand-finished and tensioned in a slender wooden tray that sits flush within the column. The result is both functional lighting and a vertical artwork — a focused light source that reads as a sculpture in daylight and a warm, intimate tableau when illuminated.
