This rug is a more intimate chapter of the Trame Incrociate series, translating the language of weaving into a clean, architectural floor piece. A wide cream field is intersected by a vertical ochre band and two charcoal panels: one solid, one finely striped in cream and grey. At the centre, a narrow block of vertical stripes cuts across the composition, creating a precise crossing of horizontals and verticals that feels both calm and graphic.

Woven entirely by hand on a horizontal loom, the rug is built through measured, repeated gestures—counted weave, tightly packed weft and carefully finished edges—that preserve the subtle irregularities of manual work. Those differences in line thickness, the slight movement in the stripe, are intentional: traces of the hours spent at the loom.
