Notes Rug plays with the idea of a quiet base interrupted by small, intentional marks. On a warm cream ground, the artist scatters fine horizontal lines of coloured knots and stitches: soft yellows, greens, reds, blues and dark accents appear as if they were notes on a staff or traces in a notebook. The negative space is key — most of the surface remains calm and neutral, while the small interventions bring movement and lightness.

The weave is flat and regular, the structure lighter, and the grammar of the design deliberately restrained: a single ground colour with minimal raised details. This keeps the rug in a similar price range despite its generous size, while fully respecting the integrity of the handmade process.

All fibres are sourced in Sardegna, anchoring the material in the island’s pastoral heritage. Woven entirely by hand on a horizontal loom, the rug is built through repeated, measured gestures. Small variations in spacing and colour density are part of its character, and evidence of the time spent at the loom.

Soft underfoot and visually gentle, Notes Rug works particularly well in bedrooms, children’s rooms, reading corners or minimal living spaces that welcome a hint of colour without losing a calm base.
