A slender study in sequence and material contrast, this vertical composition arranges three independent handwoven studies into a single, cohesive object. Each panel is a mosaic of small geometric blocks and strips where layered warp and weft meet appliqué inserts—plush velvet, jacquard motifs, coarse and fine weaves—and natural cork tiles. The interplay of pile, patterned cloth and matte cork produces a lively tactile language: velvet catches light with soft depth, woven structures offer linear grain, and cork provides a dry, textural counterpoint. The repetition of scale across the three panels creates rhythm while variations in colour and surface invite close inspection.
Mounted visibly on a broad matte passe‑partout,, the triptych reads as a stitched vertical frieze. The restrained presentation foregrounds craft: precise stitched joins, subtle colour shifts and hand‑finished edges attest to manual making. Produced with Sardinian and locally sourced fibres and traditional techniques reinterpreted for contemporary expression, each work is unique. Ideal for a narrow wall, stairwell or entrance where vertical emphasis and material tactility are desired.

Vertical Triptych explores sequence, scale and surface: a compact narrative of textiles where velvet and cork play opposing but complementary roles. Each stitched join and insert is a trace of the maker’s hand—intended to be observed, touched lightly and lived with.
Local natural fibres (wool and blended yarns), cork tiles, velvet and textured fabric inserts, archival passe‑partout.
